Barkindji Biosphere provides opportunities to build on the educational activities of the Reserve partners to create outstanding ‘hands-on’ learning opportunities. Children, students, tourists and the community will be able to learn about conservation and sustainable development in both riverine and semi-arid environments. Outdoor education will take place in many parts of Barkindji Biosphere, including within the Botanic Gardens and Ned’s Corner Station. Fire Starter Communications and La Trobe University are both lead partners in the education area - see the Education and Training Program Outlines for more details.
